Our Testing

Our testing helps identify several respiratory conditions, including Asthma, COPD, Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis and Pulmonary Hypertension amongst others. We measure several things about your lungs not just spirometry, so we can differentiate between COPD (Bronchitis/Chronic Asthma) and COPD (Emphysema). Spirometry alone is unable to do that.

All our Tests

Full Lung Function Test

Differentiates between chronic asthma and emphysema and identifies those patients suitable for lung volume reduction.

FeNO-Nitric Oxide Analysis

All tests are returned with a clinical report from a respiratory physician. This optimises patient treatment and local management. The report is then available for any telehealth sessions with metropolitan physicians reducing the time and financial burden of traveling to Perth

Bronchial
Provocation

Useful in patients suspected of having respiratory muscle weakness, a weak cough or unexplained dyspnea.

Home Oxygen Assessment After 6 Minute Walk Test

Determines whether supplemental oxygen will aid patients in cases of breathlessness.

High Altitude Simulation Test (HAST)

Determine whether patients with poor oxygenation will need supplemental oxygen when flying.

Spirometry

Basic diagnostic tool. Identifies potential restrictive or obstructive disease. Inspiratory loops can help assess vocal cord dysfunction.

Respiratory Muscle Strength

Useful in patients suspected of having respiratory muscle weakness, a weak cough or unexplained dyspnea.

Fitness to Dive

Assesses the respiratory fitness and suitability of prospective scuba divers. Asthma may be a contraindication for scuba diving.
